Week 5 Basic Krav Maga Workout

Week 5

Mon/Tues

Lead hand hook (Then Combo L, R, L hook after mitts clapped together)

Knife defense vs attacker slashing back and forth

Attacker closing drill (aka You lower = I lower)

                *1. Starting in shoulder/tricep grip for knees moving around- when he lowers to slap my calf, I lower

                *2. Now I’m throwing L,R combo (palm heels) to tombstone. Randomly, attacker lowers and      shoots forward = I get into clinch and spin offline by pivoting on foot and then deliver rounkick        to a tombstone target

Alternating Knees w neck clinch (then add L,R,Elbow, 3 knees)

 

Wed/Thurs

Rear hand hook

Two handed choke from behind in place

Switch kick (on punching bags then combo- Switch kick, R hand straight, L Hand Hook)

Gun Defense Front of head

30 second ALTERNATING knees

Straight punches retreating (start in passive and drop after attacker swings at head)

Headlock from the side- High (finger under nose/elbow to hip)

L & R advancing front kicks to groin from passive

360 Defense (add vs. spinning attack)

Overhand elbow (then combo *L hand straight, R Overhand elbow, Step away to R leg roundkick on       punching bags)

Bearhug from behind (demo leg hook and heel to groin/knee stomp when lifted from behind)

                *1. Arms pinned

Slipping punches & weaving vs. lead hand hook

CHECK OUT ALL OF OUR NEW CLASSES IN THE GRAPEVINE  FACILITY.

These times will be added to the Grapevine schedule page as well.

There are TONS of new classes at the Keller facility as well.  Check out the schedule page for Keller Monster X Camp also. In fact, we are starting earlier Jiu-Jitsu classes at noon in Grapevine.  Both, Keller and Grapevine Monster X Camps, will have 5:15pm Jiu-Jitsu classes now, as well.

REMEMBER: Whatever classes are going on in one facility on Mon/Wed will be going on in the other facility on Tues/Thurs.  So if you miss at one facility or just want to train everyday at the same time, you should definitely check out the Multi- Club membership for only $20 more.

The new classes start on SATURDAY January 28th.  Enough yappin...the new classes are below

leg round kick w/ step out (as a defensive movement)

360 Def (then #3 add Chops to inside of neck)
Bear Hug from front (Show leg hook with knee to groin if lifted)

                *1. Arms free

                *2. Arms pinned

Dragging drill (belt around waist and dragging someone from one end of floor to the other and punching on standing bag- 1.5 minutes each person

Week 1

Mon/Tues

Rear leg front kick to groin review

Range Reaction drill vs. tombstone target.  (Person A= Eyes closed. Person B= pushes them in chest w/ tombstone and gets away and lands in punching range or kicking range. Person A judges by Person B's distance wether to throw a Front kick to groin, L/R Punch, R Elbow, 3 knees, and get away OR go straight into L/R Punch, R Elbow, 3 knees, get away.)  

Inside Defense vs. Front kick to abdomen

Elbows 4-7 (then combo *after being bumped from behind- R elbow # 4, R hammer to groin, step away- turn and face attacker L, R, Elbow, 3 knees, getaway)

Movement on ground (no kick)



Wed/Thurs

Overhand right (On punching bags the add combo *L Straight, overhand R, L Hook, step away R leg         roundkick)

Inside def vs. L or R punch from distance (add counter combo)

Thruster Drill (R leg front kick, R Leg Round Kick, R leg launching knees X 3 sets – 10 pushups – {switch                    stance} L Leg front kick, L leg Roundkick, Leg leg launching knee X 3 sets). Cycle thru for 3               minutes each person
