Review and stripe exam week

THIS WEEK IS REVIEW AND STRIPE EXAM WEEK!!!

All of these techniques will be reviewed in class this week and you will be graded for your first of three stripes before the next belt exam!!!  GREAT CLASSES OVER THIS PAST FOUR WEEKS EVERYONE!!! Keep it up.

For those of you who do not know, the full body functional training exercises we do between each techniques are set up for the following days to accomodate training for the specific body parts listed on those days:

Mon/Tues = Chest and upper body
Wed/Thurs = Abs and core
Sat= legs



If you are wondering if you missed anything it is listed in the review list for this week is below:

Week 1

Mon/Tues

Front kick to groin

Inside def vs. straight punches

Gun to chest

Headlock from the side High

Finishing drill- Reaction vs. headlock side or gun to chest

 

Wed/Thurs

Hammer fist to the side

Two Handed choke from the front

360 def (add spontaneous reach across)

Lead leg round kick on standing bag

Engagement drill w/ ankle break

 

Week 2

Mon/Tues

Straight punches from passive

Knife to throat w/ shirt grab from front

R Leg front kick to abdomen

Def vs. shirt grab (early detection before punch)

 

Wed/Thurs

Hammer fist down

Two handed choke against wall

Long range uppercut back kick

Gun to chest

 

Week 3

Mon/Tues

Straight punches (focus on shooting in and out)

Choke from the side

Knife to throat w/ shirt grab from front (blade pointed in)

Front kick to groin combo

 

Wed/Thurs

Hammer fist to groin vs close attacker from behind

Choke against wall from behind

Knife to neck w/ shirt grab - blade pointed out

Straight punch low combo

 

Week 4

Review all combatives and self defenses
Mon-Review week 1
Tues- Review week 2
Wed- Review week 3
Thurs Review week 4
Sat- All combatives reviewed in cardio format to build more cardio.


PLEASE MAKE AT LEAST TWO CLASSES THIS WEEK TO BE AWARDED A RANK STRIPE AND BE ABLE TO GO THROUGH THE NEXT EXAM.
